Role Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships, referral relationships, and new business origination. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who understands real estate, mortgage products, and investor financing—and enjoys building long-term value, not just closing one-off deals. Key Responsibilities Build and manage relationships with: Real estate agents \& brokerages Real estate investors and developers Builders, attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors Actively source and qualify new mortgage opportunities (residential \& investment) Promote Vera Mortgage’s lending programs: Conventional, DSCR, Non-QM, FHA, VA, Jumbo, construction \& bridge loans Coordinate closely with loan officers and processing teams to ensure smooth closings Represent Vera Mortgage Brokers at networking events, conferences, and industry meetups Maintain and grow a personal pipeline while contributing to firm-wide growth Track activity, referrals, and pipeline performance in CRM Provide market feedback and help shape new lending and partnership strategies Qualifications 2+ years in mortgage, real estate, lending, or financial services business development Strong existing network in real estate or investor communities (preferred) Solid understanding of mortgage products and lending workflows Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong follow-through CRM experience and comfort managing pipelines Florida market knowledge is a strong plus What We Offer Competitive base salary + aggressive performance-based compensation Ability to work across high-value deals and investor clients Direct access to leadership and decision-makers Cross-referrals from Vera Realty, Vera Fund, and other Vera Group companies Flexible structure with strong upside for performers * Clear path to senior BD or leadership role as the platform scales Why Vera Mortgage Brokers We are not a call-center mortgage shop.
