What You'll Be Doing: The Infusion Center Medical Assistant (MA) supports the clinical and operational functions of the Infusion Center by assisting licensed nursing staff and providers with patient care activities, ensuring efficient patient flow, and maintaining a safe, compliant clinical environment. The MA works under the direction of registered nurses and providers in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies. Prepare patients for appointments, including vital signs, height/weight measurement. Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection Perform EKGs and other basic diagnostic procedures as assigned. Observe patients for signs of distress and promptly report concerns to nursing staff. Reinforce provider and nursing instructions to patients, including post-visit and follow-up guidance. Clean and disinfect patient care areas between visits. Assist with inventory management, ensuring proper stocking of supplies and equipment, tracking, and expiration monitoring of supplies. Accurately document patient interactions, vitals, and procedures in the EMR. Assist with appointment coordination, referrals, and prior authorizations as directed. Provide courteous, compassionate, and professional care to patients and families. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Adhere to safety protocols, including exposure control, incident reporting, and emergency procedures. What We're Looking For: Education High School Diploma or GED required Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Certification Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) required Experience Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred Prior experience in oncology, infusion services, or specialty practice preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows Proficiency with EMR systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams What We Offer: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications: When determining the compensation, several factors may be considered including, years of relevant experience, credentials, union contracts, education, and internal equity. Other duties may be assigned as required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Program Development and Instruction Develop and deliver a field sports program appropriate to the ages and abilities of campers. Prepare lesson plans that align with camp outcomes and camper skill levels. Assess and evaluate the abilities of campers and supporting staff. Deliver progressive and developmentally appropriate field sports activities. Evaluate the overall effectiveness and success of the field sports program. 2. Safety, Training, and Supervision Ensure that all campers and staff understand and adhere to safety and educational procedures. Assist in the implementation of staff training related to sports programming. Train and support staff in their responsibilities during field sports programming. Facility and Equipment Management Assist in the care and management of physical facilities and equipment used for filed sports programming. Other Job Duties: Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, planning and leading those assigned. Assist in the planning of any special events especially in the areas of decorations and costumes. Qualifications: Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant experience, training. or demonstrated expertise in the specialty area. Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a recreational setting. College students welcome/encouraged to apply. Licensing and/or Certifications: Must complete the 10-hour State Mandated Reporter Training within first two weeks of hire. Must successfully complete CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
