SBS is currently recruiting an Account Manager to be responsible for leading and managing the commercial, contractual and relationship aspects of allocated clients. The Account Manager will have responsibility for the client relationship at business line executive level, and will ensure overall account objectives are met, will develop accounts through existing channels to continually grow the business and identify new opportunities to grow the Sopra footprint. This is a highly visible and complex role, since the candidate will be managing key relationships, influencing client engagement and delivery performance as well as directing virtual teams so that client commitments are met. In addition, we expect to see significant growth from the assigned client base. Responsibilities * Accountability for the end-to-end client relationship * Client retention, growth through new business and expansion in existing clients * Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by addressing client issues * Account Strategies to monitor and drive client needs leading to new revenue opportunities * Share insight and knowledge with broader sales team to support the overall team objectives * Collaborative working across lines of business to deliver client needs and net new opportunities Qualifications * High integrity, business acumen, drive, and a desire to help clients win. * Experience of Account Management within financial services. * In-depth experience in navigating the sales process, even during adverse periods. * Working understanding of the financial services industry (particularly retail banking). * Ability to prospect into and manage executive level relationships throughout the sales cycle by building rapport and delivering compelling, persuasive propositions that yield significant return on investment. * Passionate about solving business problems through technology. * Clear and accurate written and oral / presentation skills in front of large teams of senior stakeholders. * Strong collaboration skills with a penchant for building cross-functional (deal) teams to deliver results which individually the stakeholders could not achieve. The role requires the following experience: * A proven track-record of success (and overperformance) in sales and account management. * Demonstrably capable of managing complex sales processes and converting opportunities to new business within existing clients in the financial services market. * Experience of managing contract negotiations with clients. * Knowledge of the retail financial services and an understanding of the solutions that address this market. * Ideally candidates would have worked and supported clients through digital transformations. Essential experience To succeed in this role, you’ll have experience as a Technical Architect and be able to demonstrate, with tangible examples, that you can: * design and implement technical architecture for modern, enterprise-scale services using effective patterns and technology * explain end-to-end architecture and the rationale behind your design decisions to a range of stakeholders * take ownership of technical designs through their evolution and transition into service * work with non-functional requirements and architecture quality attributed such as performance, security, scalability and maintainability * apply strong software development knowledge, including programming concepts, modelling approaches (such as UML or C4) and delivery methodologies * break architecture into deliverable components and guide teams to implement solutions that meet user and business needs Essential consulting skills In addition to technical architect skills, there are essential core skills you’ll need to be an Opencast consultant. You’ll need to demonstrate how you: * work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders to provide technical direction and build consensus for your technical designs * take a methodical and considered approach to solving problems * take a collaborative and consultative approach * keep up to date with new and emerging technology trends and their practical application * deliver business outcomes and work effectively with colleagues During the interview process, we’ll ask questions to explore your experience across these areas. The Opportunity We are recruiting a Card \& Payments Co-worker to join our Customer Services team at our Bristol Head Office. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until May 2027, with the possibility of extension.
