How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Digital Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of digital solutions—including software, connected services, and IoT-enabled products—within our industrial business. You will bridge engineering, commercial, and customer-facing teams by defining customer use cases and translating them into clear technical requirements that deliver innovative digital offerings, while helping build digital capability within a traditionally manufactured product portfolio. What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: * Product Strategy \& Business Value * Define and maintain a clear product vision and multi‑year roadmap aligned to business strategy and digital transformation priorities. * Develop business models, value propositions, and pricing strategies for digital and connected products. * Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and adoption. * Make trade‑off decisions to optimize value, cost, quality, and speed to market. * Customer \& Requirements Leadership * Identify and validate customer, user, and stakeholder needs through data, research, and direct engagement. * Drive use case and requirement definition with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment with technical teams. * Serve as the primary advocate for digital solutions across the organization—communicating strategy, progress, and value to all levels. * Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, data privacy, and enterprise architecture standards. * Cross-Functional Delivery \& Commercialization * Lead cross-functional collaboration among engineering, IT, marketing, and service teams to deliver integrated digital solutions. * Champion the transition toward digital capability within a legacy manufacturing environment. * Support go-to-market execution, commercialization, and continuous improvement post-launch. * Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and delivery teams. * Communicate product progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership with clarity and transparency. * Champion user‑centric design and continuous feedback loops. * Partner with change management and communications teams to drive adoption and value realization. * Continuous Improvement * Evaluate emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to the product domain. * Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, iteration, and data‑driven decision‑making. * Retire or rationalize low‑value features and technical debt where appropriate. What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience * 5+ years of experience in product management for digital, software, or IoT-based solutions. * Strong background in industrial or manufacturing markets. * Proven success leading cross-functional teams and translating customer use cases into actionable engineering requirements. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels. * Experience helping a traditional product organization establish or expand digital solution capabilities. * Working knowledge of digital ecosystems including cloud, connectivity, APIs, and UX design. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities * Experience with digital transformation initiatives and industrial IoT platforms. * Understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and systems integration. * Strong influence, facilitation, and leadership skills in matrixed environments. Education \& Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
