The Role: Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is seeking a driven and adaptable Regional Recruiter to support high-volume hiring across our East Coast operations, with a primary focus on New Jersey and Massachusetts. This role is critical to ensure our operations teams are staffed with top talent in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The Regional Recruiter will be based onsite at our New Jersey operations center traveling to MA as needed and will partner closely with site leaders, and human resources teams to deliver seamless, compliant, and timely hiring outcomes. This position is ideal for a recruiter who thrives amid changing priorities, can manage multiple requisitions simultaneously, and brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to talent acquisition. Key Responsibilities: Own full-cycle, high-volume recruiting for operations roles across New Jersey and Massachusetts, from intake through offer acceptance. Partner closely with site leadership and regional stakeholders to understand workforce needs, anticipate hiring demand, and adjust priorities as business needs evolve. Manage and prioritize a large and dynamic requisition load in an environment of frequent change, ensuring speed, quality, and compliance. Conduct proactive sourcing using a variety of channels, including ATS, job boards, referrals, local outreach, and community partnerships. Serve as a key onsite recruiting presence, supporting hiring events, interviews, and real-time staffing needs. Collaborate with Retail and People Operations teams on the retail onboarding process, with specific ownership and coordination of the employee badging process. Ensure all hiring and onboarding activities adhere to state-specific cannabis regulations and internal compliance requirements. Deliver a positive, professional candidate experience while representing Ascend's values and employer brand. Track recruiting metrics, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and identify opportunities to improve hiring efficiency and processes. Qualifications: 3+ years of recruiting experience, with demonstrated success in high-volume or hourly workforce environments. Experience recruiting for multi-site or multi-state operations strongly preferred. Comfort working in a fast-paced, operational setting with shifting priorities and tight timelines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands effectively. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence and partner at all levels of the organization. Experience supporting onboarding processes; familiarity with compliance-heavy or regulated industries is a plus. Willingness and ability to work onsite at a cultivation facility and partner with retail teams as needed to support onboarding and badging processes.
