Job Description Account Manager (m/f/d) Location: Frankfurt, Germany Overview The Account Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for a defined portfolio of customers, delivering outstanding customer experience through responsive commercial support, account management and solution-oriented sales. Key Responsibilities * Develop annual account plans in collaboration with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and Sales Leadership, aligned with company objectives. * Build, manage and maintain a qualified sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM. * Identify customer needs and recommend value-added technical and commercial solutions that strengthen customer relationships and maximize profitability. * Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers. * Follow up quotations to increase opportunity conversion through effective pipeline management, account planning and customer engagement. * Prepare quotations, pricing proposals and commercial documentation in accordance with company policies. * Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding quotations, pricing, deliveries, product availability, returns, invoices and complaints. * Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Finance to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. * Maintain accurate customer, quotation and opportunity data within Salesforce and SAP. * Monitor account performance, identify growth opportunities and proactively recommend actions to improve sales results. * Participate in customer meetings, trade fairs and sales visits as required. * Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Education \& Experience * Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent commercial qualification with relevant professional experience. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in Inside Sales, Account Management or Technical Sales within a B2B industrial environment. * Experience working with international customers is considered an advantage. Technical Skills \& Competencies * Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment. * Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Experience working with ERP and CRM systems. As a senior member of the product team, this role involves high-level collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless product rollout in each country across the region. Key Responsibilities * Own and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategy: positioning, messaging, target segments, and pricing * Lead end-to-end product launches, including timelines, cross-functional coordination, and communication * Enable sales with high-quality materials (presentations, demos, training) to support product adoption * Define and track KPIs (adoption, revenue, market share) and optimize GTM performance * Partner with marketing on campaigns that drive awareness, demand, and pipeline * Analyze market, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine strategy and positioning * Own commercial performance: revenue targets, customer acquisition, retention, and ROI reporting Essential Skills * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field * 5+ years experience in product management, pre-sales, sales, or solutions consulting * Proven track record of managing products across the full lifecycle * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset * Excellent communication and stakeholder management across senior and cross-functional teams * Ability to translate business goals into clear product and GTM requirements * Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset and continuous learning attitude * Excellent German and English communication skills (written and spoken) We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
