Medical Office Practice Manager / Urology / Full Time In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company and Wood County Women’s Care, the Office Manager oversees the day-to-day operations in his/her practice(s), assures that all medical equipment and all other physical properties are maintained and are in good operational condition, and effectively plans and directs center operations by coordinating business office and clinical activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity of staff and physicians/providers.Job Duties: * Following the guidelines outlined in the Values Circle, the office manager will work with the area practice manager in the creation and development of a positive culture in the medical office. * Responsible for corporate compliance in practice(s). * Institute policies and procedures in such areas as scheduling, registration, billing, and collections; oversees adherence to these policies and procedures. * Coordinate office processes related to billing with the Central Billing Office. * Insures and verifies the collection of correct and adequate patient and insurance information. * Monitor practice adherence to the credit and collection policies and procedures. * Ensure compliance with point-of-service collection policies and procedures to maintain acceptable cash collections. * Maintains timecards and process payroll accurately and timely. * Monitor provider and practice performance and assists in setting goals. * Maintains open communication with hospital departments, referring physicians, staff physicians and employees. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of formal education, a high school graduate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in health care or physician office environment. These are nine-month renewable appointments. Bowling Green State University’s Exercise Science program is a nationally accredited bachelor’s degree program preparing students for careers in exercise science. Undergraduate majors can specialize in exercise programming or sports medicine. Our program’s greatest strength is providing opportunities for undergraduate research, internships, and the exercise testing of athletes, patients, clients, and the community. These hands-on experiences help students gain the real-world skills needed to be successful in the profession or in graduate school. The School of Applied Human Development is a multidisciplinary school within the College of Education and Human Development that is dedicated to communicating, advancing, and applying knowledge that fosters the well-being of individuals and families. There are approximately 800 students in the undergraduate programs of Exercise Science, Fashion Merchandising and Product Development, Human Development and Family Science, Interior Design, Sport Management, and Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management, and in the graduate programs of Athletic Training and Sport Administration and Kinesiology. The school is supported by approximately thirty-seven full-time faculty and staff. The College of Education and Human Development, BGSU’s founding college, is the home to a dynamic group of graduate and undergraduate programs, housed across three academic units: the School of Applied Human Development; the School of Counseling, Higher Education, Leadership, and Foundations; and the School of Inclusive Teacher Education. Approximately 150 full-time faculty and staff serve over 3,000 undergraduate students and over 1,000 graduate students. Essential Functions ----------------------- Primary Functions Teach undergraduate courses in the Exercise Science program. Contribute to the school, college, university, and profession through service and engagement activities. Specific Responsibilities One position with major responsibility teaching in Exercise Science Core (e.g., Introduction to Exercise Science, Motor Learning and Development, Biomechanics of Human Movement, or Exercise Testing and Prescription) One position with major responsibility teaching in Exercise Science Core and Sports Medicine Specialization (e.g., Care and Prevention of Sports Injuries, Therapeutic Modalities, or Therapeutic Medications and Health Conditions) Provide service to the program, school, college, university, and professional associations. Advise undergraduate students. Supervise internship students in the Exercise Science program. Minimum Qualifications -------------------------- Earned master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Degree must be conferred prior to appointment in August 2026. Three years of professional experience in the field. Preferred Qualifications Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., DAT, DPT, OTD, DHS) in Exercise Science or a related field. Evidence of effective teaching experience at the university level. Eligible for Ohio OT, OTA, PT, PTA, AT licensure in Ohio.
