The Operations Administrator, in partnership with the Executive Administrator, oversees all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting for the Valley Foundation practice plan. Assists with developing and managing the Heersink School of Medicine budget and prepares financial analyses and various financial reports. Oversees purchasing, facilities maintenance, human resources, and information technology operations for the Huntsville campus. Senior Manager, Software Development

SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of Software Development is responsible for managing multiple software development teams in all aspects of the software development life-cycle. You must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship. JOB DUTIES Prepares and presents project proposals to users in functional areas, analyzes the impact of proposals on other groups, and helps to establish successful project direction. Interacts with senior managers and executives to establish broad-based technical direction related to applications programming as well as other functional areas. Establishes technical objectives and communicates short and long-term business goals, ensuring that applications programs meet the company standards, and analyzing return on hardware and software investments. Assembles project plans monitors work efforts daily, performs quality reviews, and escalates functional, quality, and timeline issues of one or more projects. Develops or guides in developing project governance documents that effectively explain the business objective, scope, approach, and timeline. Owns ensuring applications meet performance and quality standards. Prepares project status presentations and communicates to team members, Project Sponsors and IT Executives. Maintains schedules and coordinates activities of the development group to support the priority communicated from management and monitors the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensures that business requirements and functional needs are met. Adheres to project and business governance standards and methodologies. Follows policies and procedures, software development guidelines, user interface standards, and change control processes. Ensures projects are delivered on time and according to specifications. Keeps key user representatives updated on project status and problem resolution status. Guides subordinate employees involved in designing, developing, and implementing programs for internal functional areas by establishing goals that are aligned with established policies and standards; also identifies and recommends changes to established practices and policies that affect subordinate employees. Researches the feasibility of new applications or modifications to existing applications, recommends action, and works with vendors, and functional managers to analyze/decide on technology choices. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION \& EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree and twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years of related experience; or equivalent combination. Also typically has four (4) or more years managerial/leadership experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge. Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques. Knowledge of structured application development and change control methodologies. Knowledge of object oriented analysis and design. Solid leadership Skills. Strong technical aptitude. Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup. Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables. Ability to work effectively with senior management. Develops programming and development standards and procedures as well as program architectures for code reuse. Defines architectures and designs across multiple IT functional areas. Uses creative thinking to evaluate alternative proposals to meet cost, time, and benefits to satisfy anticipated needs. Researches and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and possible applications to the business. Develops tests of systems specifications using the latest diagramming tools to meet business requirements and uses results to influence others outside of their area of expertise. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand requirements and define technical strategies. Works on multiple projects as the project leader or as the subject matter expert. Develops architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to guide implementation. Evaluates emerging technologies and drive adoption where applicable. Mentors and coaches development teams on best practices and architectural principles. Ensures adherence to architectural standards, security protocols, and coding guidelines. Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION \& EXPERIENCE Typically has a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience or an equivalent combination. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Requires expert knowledge and experience using XML, JavaScript, HTML, Crystal, and SQL. Some demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills. Strong communication skills and oral presentation skills. Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based solutions. Strong proficiency in software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
