This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. Qualifications Position Description Our Staff Engineer works with our Sr. Engineers to innovate and build new systems, improve and enhance existing systems and identify new opportunities to apply your knowledge to solve critical problems. Influence and educate executives Qualifications * Exemplary ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap * Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production * Proven expertise in API-first engineering, event-driven architecture, and real-time APIs—including federated GraphQL and gRPC—with experience operating high-throughput systems and meeting strict latency targets (including sub-second SLAs on defined synchronous paths), plus sound handling of schema evolution and performance. * Ability to manage schema evolution, versioning and high-performance API driven systems * Proven experience designing and delivering highly-resilient event-driven and messaging based solutions at scale with minimal latency. * Hands-on experience with durable workflow orchestration at scale (e.g. Temporal, AWS Step Functions, or equivalent): workflow design, versioning, failure handling, and production operations—integrated with messaging/event platforms where relevant * Deep hands-on experience in building complex SAAS systems in large scale business focused systems, with great knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes * Fluency and Specialization with Java and at least one other modern language such as C#, C++, or Python including object-oriented design * Extensive experience in leading and building full-stack application and service development * Great understanding of open-source databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. And strong foundation with No-SQL databases like Cosmos, Cassandra. You will play a critical role in documenting and shaping our client's IT enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision of driving interoperability across organizations. Responsibilities Include: Develop an IT enterprise architecture that provides client stakeholders awareness of critical capabilities, dependencies, and mission critical impacts and risks. This includes developing the: Enterprise Architecture Baseline – discover and capture the “as-is” state of the client’s IT enterprise as it exists across multiple organizations throughout the enterprise. Enterprise Architecture Future State – work in alignment with the client’s vision to capture the “to be” state of the client’s IT enterprise. Enterprise Architecture Transition Plan – create the guidance and architecture artifacts to incrementally transition the client’s enterprise architecture from the as-is state to the future state. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, content consumers, developers, engineers, and business analysts. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Basic Qualifications: Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Systems Engineer, or similar role. Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF). Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC). * Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Rational Rhapsody, Cameo, Genesys, etc.).
