ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENT The Exercise Physiologist functions as a team member of the Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab departments and is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of exercise and educational related programs for program participants. Job Requirements Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to: Plan and implement exercise programs based individual patient needs. Assists with monitoring, interpreting, and documenting the physiological response to exercise. Recognizes cardiac emergencies or symptoms of exercise intolerance and intervenes appropriately. Assists with patient education focusing on risk factor reduction and behavior modification. License/Certification: American Collegeof Sports Medicine (ACSM) and/or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) clinical certification preferred. Current BLS certification required upon hire and henceforth kept current. ACLS within 6 months of hire and henceforth kept current. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field. Basic EKG interpretation skills. Prior experience in health promotion programming or previous cardiac rehabilitation experience preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Works inside. Work is of minimum to moderate physical demand; sitting at a desk, carrying office supplies, and assisting patients with exercise equipment and routines. Long shifts or occasional overtime necessary to assure continuity of patient care. Normal or corrected vision is required to interpret rhythms, process paperwork, read physician orders, and use computer. Normal or corrected hearing is required to monitor equipment and alarms, use telephone, and participate in conversations. Potential exposure to biohazards or communicable disease. Able to read, write, and converse in English. Subject to physical and emotional stress of the high energy work environment. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Tolerates bending, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling for 8 – 12 hours (shift dependent). Lifts or carries up to 50 lbs. Demonstrates use of exercise equipment or specific exercises.

Department Overview: Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) in collaboration with Oregon Health \& Science (OHSU) is seeking a full time Orthopedic Upper Extremity/Hand Surgeon to join our established CMH-OHSU Orthopedic clinic, located in Astoria, Oregon. Function/Duties of Position: As an upper extremity specialist, you will be joining an established orthopedic and sports medicine practice with experienced board-certified orthopedists and advanced practice practitioners who offer a full spectrum of orthopedic care. This position will serve as an OHSU Clinical Associate who is fully embedded as a member of the OHSU Practice Plan with 100 percent of their practice dedicated patient care at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Practice Details Provide outpatient services at the CMH-OHSU Health Orthopedics Clinic. Four-Day work week with dedicated clinic, OR and administrative time. Guaranteed base salary with annual merit increases and quality incentives. Hiring incentives including commencement bonus and relocation. Annual CME stipend with paid CME time.
