On-site operational responsibility for all accounting and financial management activities of the Cluster/Unit and its functioning. 3.1 Demonstrate judgment and self-sufficiency in effective problem solving while serving as the administrative and operational resource of the hospital. 3.2 Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. 3.3 Intervene effectively in situations which involve accounting, financial decision making and deliverance. 3.4 Ensures that all aspects of financial accounting are managed in a smooth, uninterrupted and error free manner. 3.5 Coordinate with insurance department with an objective of minimizing financial losses due to non- recoverable. 3.6 Ensuring that all reports and deliverables are submitted on due dates. 3.7 Demonstrates ability to see the big picture in terms of the strategic operational plan and ability to monitor and direct processes to fulfill such plans. 3.8 Co-ordinate the preparation of financial statements and ensure all financial objectives are met. 3.9 Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information and regarding administrative matters of confidential nature 3.10 Develops and promotes a fair administrative environment in the department which is unbiased and apolitical. 3.11 Provide support for audit activities. 3.12 Performs other duties as assigned by the Hospital General Manager, Hospital Administrator and Head of Finance. 3.13 Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. 3.14 Comply with all OSH (Occupational safety and health) and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirements 3.15 Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities 3.16 Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures 3.17 Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports 3.18 Comply with Waste management procedures and policies 3.19 Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs 3.20 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems 3.21 Ensure as far as reasonably practicable that any workplaces they manage or control are safe and without risks to health, safety or the environment. 3.22 Ensure implementation of applicable HAAD, NMCRH OSHMS and infection control policies and standards 3.23 Ensure adequate budget and resources for FMS/OSH/PCI management. 3.24 Designating a Safety facilitator who will be responsible for coordinating OSH activities within the department. 3.25 Regularly discuss OSH issues or matters in departmental/ management meetings 3.26 Ensure provision of OSH information, training and Supervision 3.27 Implement and monitor effectiveness of risk management program 4.1 Must be a Chartered Accountant or Equivalent 4.2 Five years or more years of experience in finance and accounting 4.3 Excellent command of oral and written English 4.4 Must be well versed with Word, Excel and Financial software
