Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls , schedule appointments, and manage referrals - Verify patient insurance information, conduct prior authorizations for medications/procedures, and collect co-pays or payments - Maintain patient records, update information as needed, and conduct referrals - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns Skills: - Strong administrative skills with attention to detail - Experience in a patient service role in a medical office setting only - Knowledge or medical office procedures and terminology - Proficiency in using medical office software (Athena EMR preferred) - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records Summary In the role of Front Desk Medical Office, you will be essential in delivering outstanding patient service and administrative support within a medical setting.
