ECG Technician
Perform, assist, and document non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures—primarily ECG and Echocardiography—to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Key Responsibilities ECG (Electrocardiography) Duties Perform 12-lead ECGs, rhythm strips, stress ECGs, and bedside ECGs accurately Prepare patients (positioning, skin prep, electrode placement) according to protocol Identify and promptly report abnormal cardiac rhythms or critical findings to physicians Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of ECG machines Label, document, and upload ECG results correctly into hospital systems Echocardiography Duties Perform 2D Echo, M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Doppler studies as prescribed Assist cardiologists during TEE, stress echo, and contrast echo when required Capture high-quality images and measurements for accurate interpretation Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper positioning during echo procedures Maintain echo equipment and report technical faults immediately Patient Care \& Safety Verify patient identity and procedure orders before testing Explain procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety Follow infection control, radiation safety (if applicable), and hospital protocols Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies as trained Documentation \& Reporting Accurately record patient data, procedure details, and technical observations Ensure timely availability of reports for cardiologists and treating physicians Maintain confidentiality and comply with medical ethics and hospital policies Collaboration \& Support Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and cardiac technicians Assist in cardiac cath lab or ICU procedures when required (as per hospital policy) Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement, and training programs Required Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Cardiac Technology / Cardiovascular Technology / Allied Health Certified or trained in ECG and Echocardiography 1–3 years experience in a cardiac hospital or diagnostic center preferred Skills \& Competencies Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and arrhythmias Proficiency in ECG interpretation basics and echo image acquisition Attention to detail and technical accuracy Good communication and patient-handling skills Ability to work in ICU, emergency, and high-pressure environments Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Paid sick time * Provident Fund Work Location: In person
