Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities. Duties * Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. * Provide support with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. * Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. * Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. * Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. * Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's care needs. * Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met. * Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager. * Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required. Requirements * Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or home care is highly desirable. * Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and medication administration. * Experience in nursing home settings or hospice care is an advantage. * Familiarity with Alzheimer’s and dementia care techniques is beneficial. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. * A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while assisting clients. * A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
