Department: CC216820 Primary Care - HialeahJob Description Summary: Position Responsibilities Works with primary care provider to learn the primary provider role. Shadows primary care physician during patient exams. To learn the exam and documentation process. Note: may not complete the exam doucmenttion in the EMR, may use practice data base. Performs nursing assessment on patients in the primary care practice Discuss with primary care physician recommendation for care inclduing medical appointments, specilality counselts, medications and other testing Under the direction of the primary care physician learn how to compelte patient care plans. Responsible for maintaining and improving clinical care within the assigned work area towards the goal of being rated among the best in the United States. This includes but is not limited to: Performs nursing services under the direction of the primary are provider for wound care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG's and other test within the scope of his/her license. Supports the database information system. Maintains current knowledge of the system - understands data entry, maintenance and reporting. Establishes and maintains Medical Center safety and compliance policies. Other duties that may be assigned Qualifications License/Registration/Certification Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is required. BLS and ACLS required (ACLS not required for CCC). Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. MSN preferred. Experience Three years of Nursing leadership experience.
