The brand designers on this team are multidisciplinary in nature, able to design robust visual systems, art direction, and craft surfaces that focus on brand and product storytelling. </p> <p>Collaborating with other teams at Stripe, as well as external partners, we raise the quality and consistency of experiences with the Stripe brand IRL, virtually, and everywhere in between. We craft the creative vision and strategy for different types of projects and audiences, and amplify them across various mediums, channels, objects to environments, and digital and physical experiences. </p> <p><strong>About Stripe Press</strong></p> <p>Stripe Press Design transforms ideas into artifacts — designing books that embody Stripe’s intellectual curiosity, precision, and aesthetic clarity. The team also creatively supports a plethora of brand- building moments like popups, marketing materials, VIP packages, interactive moments, and more.</p> <p>In partnership with the Stripe Press editorial team, the Stripe Press design team gives each publication its physical and visual form: covers, layouts, materials, as well as defining identity systems that make Stripe Press recognizable, culturally engaged, and enduring.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <p>You’ll be joining a highly creative team that spans the gamut of creative execution across the Stripe Press brand. This includes everything from cover design, advertising, event design, merch design, design content for social channels, and more. The work is high craft, idea driven, and very collaborative.Your ability to generate innovative and interesting ideas is as important as your ability to bring them to life both with your own hands, and with collaborators. </p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Be an passionate maker that is genuinely curious, experimental, bursting with ideas, and knows how to iterate quickly, build narrative, and make create beautiful things unmistakably Stripe Press </li> <li>Connect design work to brand-building. You should understand what the cultural interplay between Stripe Press could be, and you pitch ideas to execute. </li> <li>Work both within the design team and cross-functional with the editorial arm of Stripe Press to build collective momentum and raise the bar for the brand in all ways.</li> <li>Help shape the strategic vision for design that pushes the boundaries of the brand and build awareness of what we do and why it’s important to Stripe</li> <li>Partner widely with cross-functional teams to build upon great ideas by bringing your ideas to life</li> <li>Give and solicit feedback from a wide range of teammates, agency partners, and stakeholders</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</span></p> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>6+ years of relevant creative experience in concepting and delivering ideas </li> <li>Experience working on a variety of experimental projects that exemplify expertise in design, creative technology, typography, and art direction</li> <li>Strong track record independently delivering work as well as influencing the work of other designers, contractors, and agencies</li> <li>A strong strategic acumen for building leading brands in a fast paced, global facing environment</li> <li>Proficient in the latest AI and creative tools</li> <li>Exceptional craft </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualification</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Genuinely curious, ambitious and creative with a refreshing sense of design, impeccable typography skills, digitally savvy and deep appreciation for creative process, technology and design engineering</li> <li>Persuasive and humble in explaining your work, process, and decisions and experienced at facilitating stakeholders to advance the project as well as design quality </li> <li>Excellent organization and presentation skills, and excel in written and verbal communication</li> </ul>
