What can I look forward to? The 10-week paid Actuarial Internship is designed to provide a taster of what an actuarial career at Zurich looks like. You will be working in an actuarial role from day one, gaining experience working alongside a team of actuaries and learning some of the foundation skills required to succeed in the profession. The internship provides a great opportunity for you to get to know whether an actuarial career, and Zurich, is suited to you, as well as an opportunity for the Zurich life actuarial team to get to know you. Your internship could involve working in reserving, pricing, reinsurance, or another core actuarial area. Whichever role your internship is in will give you the chance to start learning what an actuary does. You will be assigned a ‘buddy’ for the duration of your internship. This will be a past intern or a recent graduate – someone who will be able to help guide you through your early experiences, give you advice and answer any questions about working at Zurich. Additionally, the Zurich Internship Scheme will help to develop your non-actuarial skills and give you a chance to work on a project across different career disciplines. The Life Actuarial internship is based in our Swindon office - one of the UK’s most sustainable offices. There is the potential for hybrid working after an initial period. What’s in it for you? A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent) At least 128 UCAS points (ABB) in three A-levels (or equivalent) A minimum A grade in Mathematics A-level. * You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK.
