Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer Chicago, IL (Hybrid) $120,000 – $140,000 + Benefits We’re hiring a Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer to join a high-performing enterprise data platform team supporting large-scale cloud data infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Snowflake administration, platform automation, CI/CD, security, and performance optimisation across enterprise cloud environments. If you’ve built and managed Snowflake as a platform rather than simply developed within it, this could be a strong fit. What you’ll be doing Administering and optimising enterprise Snowflake environments Managing platform security including RBAC, encryption, governance, and audit controls Driving performance tuning, warehouse optimisation, storage efficiency, and cost management Building automation using Terraform, Python, SQL, and JavaScript Developing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines Supporting cloud platform integrations across Azure and AWS Troubleshooting production platform issues and driving continuous improvement What we’re looking for Strong experience in Snowflake platform engineering / administration Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, security, governance, and performance optimisation Strong hands-on experience with: Snowflake Terraform Azure DevOps / CI/CD Python SQL JavaScript Azure and/or AWS Background in enterprise data platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or modern data warehousing * SnowPro certification would be a bonus Ideal background This will suit someone currently working as a: Snowflake Platform Engineer / Snowflake Administrator / Data Platform Engineer / Cloud Data Engineer / Snowflake DevOps Engineer
