Senior Account Manager – South Africa

Location: South Africa To be considered for this role, you must have proven experience managing and growing strategic B2B client relationships. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with enterprise clients within financial services, banking, payments, loyalty, travel, hospitality, insurance or related sectors. The opportunity As Dragonpass continues to expand across the Middle East and Africa, we are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to help manage and grow some of our most important client relationships across the region. This is a highly visible, client-facing role focused on developing trusted partnerships, delivering exceptional account management and identifying opportunities for commercial growth. Working closely with the Key Account Director and cross-functional teams, you will play an important role in helping clients maximise the value of their partnership with Dragonpass. You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, understand client priorities and act as a trusted advisor, while ensuring projects, programmes and commercial initiatives are delivered successfully. What you'll be doing • Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic client relationships across South Africa and the wider MEA region. • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across commercial, loyalty, payments, marketing, product and leadership teams. • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, objectives and growth priorities. • Lead regular client governance including performance reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews and strategic planning sessions. • Identify opportunities to grow revenue through new products, services, markets and commercial initiatives. • Develop and maintain strategic account plans and account growth opportunities. • Support commercial discussions, contract renewals, pricing conversations and partnership negotiations. • Monitor account performance against revenue targets, forecasts and agreed objectives. • Coordinate internal teams to ensure client priorities are delivered effectively and on time. • Prepare and deliver business reviews, performance updates, recommendations and growth proposals. • Act as the voice of the client internally, helping influence product, commercial and operational priorities. • Manage client issues, risks and escalations while driving effective resolutions. What you'll need: • Significant experience in account management, client services, partnerships or commercial relationship management. • Proven success managing and growing complex B2B client relationships. • Experience working with large corporate organisations and senior stakeholders. • Strong commercial awareness with experience in account planning, forecasting and revenue growth. • Experience identifying and developing opportunities within existing client relationships. • Confidence supporting commercial discussions, contract renewals and strategic client conversations. • Excellent relationship-building, communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage senior audiences. • Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights. • Experience working across multiple internal teams and complex stakeholder environments. • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across different countries and time zones. Desirable experience • Financial services, banking, payments, loyalty, travel, hospitality or insurance sectors. • Experience managing clients across Africa or the wider MEA region. • Experience supporting multi-market partnerships, programmes or customer engagement solutions. • Exposure to travel, loyalty or membership-based products and services.
