Front Desk Medical Assistant (Psychiatry Clinic)
Alevea Mental Health is a growing Integrative and Advanced Therapeutics clinic in Tempe that focuses on high-quality, compassionate care. We are looking for a dependable, organized Front Desk / Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for our patients and to support daily clinical operations. This role requires reliability, emotional intelligence, and comfort working with mental health patients, first responders, and veterans. This role is ideal for someone who is kind, professional, calm, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and positive manner Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries Verify demographics and insurance information Collect copays and handle basic billing tasks Support providers with rooming patients, vitals, and documentation, ADHD testing (as trained) Maintain a clean, organized front office and clinical area Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times Qualifications Prior front desk experience in a medical or mental health office strongly preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexible with improving systems, participate in optimization, and self motivated Comfortable with EHR systems (currently use eClinicalWorks \& Simple Practice) Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Why Alevea?
